Our Chillies

At The Spite Kitchen, great hot sauce starts long before the bottle. It begins with carefully growing our chillies from seed right here in Lancashire.

We believe that producing exceptional hot sauce starts with exceptional ingredients. That's why we grow many of our own chillies, carefully nurturing each plant to produce healthy, flavour-packed peppers ready for harvest.

Our growing season includes a range of chilli varieties, from flavourful everyday peppers to some of the world's hottest chillies, including Carolina Reapers, Ghost Peppers, Scotch Bonnets, Habaneros, Thai Chillies, and Lemon Drop Chillies.

Every stage of the growing process is carefully managed to produce healthy plants and quality fruit. Once harvested, our chillies are used to create our range of small-batch hot sauces and chilli products.

Growing our own chillies gives us complete control over quality, freshness and flavour, helping us create products that stand out from mass-produced alternatives.
