Return & Refund Policy

At The Spite Kitchen, we take great pride in producing high-quality handmade hot sauces, jams and preserves. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help.

Your Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it.

However, due to food safety and hygiene regulations, this right does not apply to perishable goods or sealed food products once they have been opened or where the seal has been broken.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Clear photographs of the item and packaging

Where appropriate, we will offer a replacement, refund or other suitable resolution.

Returns

If your item is eligible for return, it must:

  • Be unopened and unused
  • Be in its original packaging
  • Be returned in a resaleable condition

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty, damaged or sent in error.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

If approved, your refund will be processed back to your original payment method within 5–10 working days, depending on your payment provider.

Original delivery charges are only refunded where required by UK consumer law.

Non-Returnable Items

For food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:

  • Opened food products
  • Products with broken seals
  • Products damaged through misuse
  • Gift cards (if applicable)

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

Delivery Issues

If your parcel has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us and we'll investigate with the courier.
